San Diego or Bust

This past week was spent building a steady froth for the upcoming NW swell. Hopes were high for this first real swell of the winter, as always things were over-hyped and many Southern California residents had to curb their expectations as the steep angle cause a lot of our perfect points and reefs to be much less "epic" then those of our Northern Cali brethren. While the surf was not as great as we'd all hoped, the conditions it was met with were about as perfect as it gets. Sunny skies all day, HOT temperatures at the beach, and essentially no wind made for a descent few days of wave sliding. I decided to try my luck down in SD land as it had been quite some time since my last visit. I found fun surf, beautiful sunsets and good times with old friends. A score of a different variety.
