Not too Shabby

Occasionally (often) I find myself questioning my Northern California relocation. The lack of clean surf, the over abundance of ragged swell. Crackheads living on my street, traffic and noise. It's when I make my escape to the quiet comfort of coastal redwoods and rushing waterfalls that I realize how lucky I am. To be able to enjoy those things with my family and still live in "the city." Yes, it may be a challenging place to surf (until fall) and city life may be oppressive, but when a view like this comes into focus everything else just melts away and the problems of life become trivial and inconsequential. There is only the wind, the trees and the beauty of a city by the bay.
