New Perspectives

Nothing like a new outlook, a different angle. Seeing things as they are is easy. Finding the time to look another way can be hard. I often struggle to give up my comfortable view of the world, so I take great satisfaction in the discovery of new perspectives. I am reminded of the simple elegance of human experience, that it is infinitely different. Each person has the ability to see the world in an original way. Some people are so overwhelmed with what they see, so taken by it's beauty or ugliness, it's simpleness or complexity, that they have to share it with their fellow humans. The exchange of visual information is a cathartic endeavor. When I take a photograph my intention is to share my perspective with whomever chooses to look. So that they may see things as I do, if only for a fraction of a second. It is this shared experience that fuels me. When we peer through the lens of a photographer we see the world from their perspective, and join them in sharing that moment in time.

I am eternally grateful to the people out there taking the time to find new perspectives and sharing them with all of us.
